Flames extinguished at Bridgeport home

January 20, 2019

BRIDGEPORT — Crews have extinguished flames at a home on White Street Sunday morning, reports indicated.

An official at one of the fire houses said an “event” was going on in the city, but could not provide further details. Other fire officials could not be immediately reached for comment.

But fire officials were heard on the scanner saying that a fire had been put on the street. The flames damaged the structure, according to the scanner reports.

Red Cross is heading to the home, but fire officials are still counting how many people have been displaced, officials said over the scanner.

The incident was reported just before 11:30 a.m.
