2 dead in weekend violence on Long Island
ROOSEVELT, N.Y. (AP) — Two people have been slain in weekend violence on Long Island.
Police say a 30-year-old man was killed and two other men were wounded in a shooting around 12 a.m. Sunday on West Fulton Avenue in Roosevelt.
Another man was found dead on Thorne Avenue in Hempstead around 7 a.m. Police say he was stabbed.
The incidents do not appear to be related. The names of the victims have not been made public.
