MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Officials say a former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver who is now athletic director at a Minneapolis high school is the subject of an internal school investigation.

The Star Tribune reports that Minneapolis North athletic director Leo Lewis has been placed on administrative leave. A school district spokesman says government statutes prevent him from saying anything more about the investigation.

Lewis, who played for the Vikings in the 1980s, has been with the North program since 2014. He previously worked as an associate athletic director at the University of Minnesota.

Lewis could not be reached immediately for comment.
