Aaron Horn, 25, of Akron, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
A celebration of life service with memory sharing will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rexwinkel-Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. The Rev. Larry Nilson will officiate. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Aaron Philip Horn was born on Aug. 20, 1993, in Omaha, the son of Kevin and Candy (Rollins) Horn. He attended school and graduated from Akron-Westfield High School.
Despite all of Aaron’s challenges, he had many joys in life, including a love for country music, race cars, and being outside riding his bike. He also enjoyed drawing and coloring. But most of all, he loved family gatherings. Many will remember him for his laughing and singing.
Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Candy Horn of Akron; his siblings, Jamie (Krista) VanderHelm of Akron, Kelvin (Missy) Horn of Akron, Justin (Geralynn) Horn of Wisconsin, Abby Horn of Sioux City, and Angela Horn (Adam Ostermeyer) of Akron; his paternal grandfather, Cecil Horn of Sioux City; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Sally Rollins; his paternal grandmother, Betty Horn; his brother, Timothy Langley; and his uncle, Frankie Rollins.
