OMAHA, Neb. — A Vietnamese woman who lived apart from her daughter for 18 years is celebrating earning her U.S. citizenship in Nebraska. The Omaha World-Herald reports that 62-year-old Tu Tran became a naturalized U.S. citizen in Omaha last week. She’s the mother of Chinh Doan, a TV reporter in Omaha. Tran’s family had moved to Oklahoma City. 250 words.
— OKLAHOMA-FATAL SHOOTING — Police in McCloud say a teenage boy has died after being shot in a home there, and authorities are questioning his older brother about the death.
— TULSA-TEEN SHOT — Police say a 15-year-old girl was shot in the chest in a drive-by shooting as she left a friend’s home in Tulsa.
— DRYSDALES-BOOT BARN — Western wear retailer Drysdales Inc., with two stores in Tulsa, has been acquired by California-based Boot Barn Holdings Inc .
