Shooting wounds teen male on Cleveland’s East Side

CLEVELAND, Ohio — An 18-year-old male was taken to the hospital Monday after he was wounded in a shooting in the North Broadway neighborhood, police say.

It’s the third shooting involving a teen victim in as many days in Cleveland.

Monday’s shooting occurred near the intersection of Broadway and Union avenues, police say. The unidentified male was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.

On Sunday, a 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg in an incident on the 3300 block of East 66th Street near Regent Park, which also is in the North Broadway neighborhood.

On Saturday, a 14-year-old girl was wounded in the hip on Dellenbaugh Avenue near East 72nd Street the Hough neighborhood.

Police have not announced any arrests in the shootings.
