Medicines Co.: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) _ The Medicines Co. (MDCO) on Wednesday reported a loss of $60.1 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Parsippany, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 80 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 63 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 66 cents per share.
Medicines Co. shares have risen 90% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 9% in the last 12 months.
