Part of K’s trade voided; Muir headed back
Brady Shaw is in the Komets’ lineup tonight against the Kalamazoo Wings. However, Aidan Muir, who was the player traded to the Orlando Solar Bears for him on Tuesday, along with future considerations, is headed back to Fort Wayne.
Some fans may have spotted that the Muir portion of the trade had been voided, per the ECHL transactions today.
According to Komets general manager David Franke, Muir failed the Solar Bears’ physical upon arrival because of an old hand injury that he suffered when a skate cut him.
The good news for the Komets is he returns to their active roster and they can use him. The bad news is the future considerations they owe Orlando is now larger and that compensation will either have to be worked out by 3 p.m. Saturday or after the holiday break.
