Longmont Police Notes: Cat Chase Causes Disturbance

November 23, 2018

Longmont Times-Call

Police were called to the 1000 block of 16th Avenue on Wednesday after neighbors reported a disturbance coming from a home. Police found the couple had been arguing over a cat, and that the “banging around” sounds were from the man trying to catch the cat and put it in a carrier. The man was arrested for violating a protection order.

Longmont police responded to a report of reckless driving in the 900 block of Pace Street on Wednesday after a 19-year-old driver said another car nearly collided with her. The case is closed due to lack of probable cause.

Animal control responded to two different calls of dogs biting people on Thanksgiving. Both dogs were placed under quarantine.
