Woodlands board to discuss fountain repair, incorporation issues Thursday
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors is back in action Thursday, hosting its first meeting of February at 6 p.m. The board will meet in the board chambers at the township offices, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, with a lengthy agenda of items up for discussion.
On the consent agenda are a long list of items that will be voted on en masse per board procedure. The consent agenda includes items such as approving the minutes of previous board meetings, hearing a variety of reports — including law enforcement, community services, transportation and from The Woodlands Fire Department — and a series of subjects that do not require debate or further discussion by the board.
During the regular agenda, township directors usually hear a report from an administrative or outside official before discussing the issue and possibly taking action.
One item of interest for residents will be the repairs to the fountain at Waterway Square, which has not functioned for several months due to structural damage. The board will also discuss some incorporation planning matters as well as host a public hearing on swimming pool fees.
The board will also have a discussion about incorporation study issues, a topic that is normally reserved for the township’s incorporation planning sessions.
