PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) _ Rasheed Wallace scored 19 of his 27 points in the first half to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 109-102 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.

Brian Grant added 20 points and a career-high 20 rebounds for the Blazers, including 10 points and seven rebounds in the third quarter when the Blazers outscored Dallas 31-25 to gain control of the game.

The Mavericks, whose last lead was 48-47 late in the first half, were led by Michael Finley’s 32 points. Hubert Davis added a season-high 25.

The Blazers led by as many as 13 points in the fourth quarter, but the Mavericks cut the lead to 107-100 with 1:03 remaining. Grant’s 20th rebound and Damon Stoudamire’s 20-foot jumper stopped the rally with 38 seconds left.

Stoudamire had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Stacy Augmon also scored 18.

It was Portland’s fourth win in five games and 11th consecutive over the Mavericks, who haven’t beaten the Blazers since April 15, 1995.
