Williamson was being held in lieu of $180,000 bail after the late Monday incident, Detective Jeff Carnival said today.
The stabbing victim was in critical condition, officials said. Police refused to give out the name of Williamson’s ex-wife or the friend or even say whether the friend was a man or a woman.
Williamson, 40, played Benjamin Buford ``Bubba″ Blue in ``Forrest Gump″ and also appeared in ``How to Make an American Quilt,″ ``Waiting to Exhale,″ ``Heat″ and ``Con Air.″
