Wind Chill Warning In Place

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning for the region effective until 6 p.m. Thursday. Dangerously cold wind chills, of 15 to 30 degrees below zero, are expected. The lowest wind chill temperatures will occur early Thursday morning. The wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin within 30 minutes, according to the weather service. The warning advises people to stay indoors if possible. Anyone who must go outside is advised to dress in layers.
