SHEFFIELD LAKE, Ohio (AP) _ A man has been charged with stealing his mother's credit card to pay for his girlfriend's breast enlargement surgery.

Michael Copp, 18, used the card to pay for the $2,496 procedure, police Sgt. Jerry Paysor said.

``For this type of misuse, this is the first we've ever seen,'' said Sgt. Tony Campo. ``And we've seen everything.''

Copp pleaded innocent at his arraignment Tuesday to a charge of misuse of a credit card. His 18-year-old girlfriend has not been charged.

According to a police report, Copp's mother, Gaelene Pakrandt, told officers she had closed the charge account because her son charged $2,100 in car repair bills. Police said Copp reopened the account without his mother's knowledge after he found the card in a drawer.

Most items purchased with a stolen credit card are confiscated and returned by police. But this case is a little different, Paysor said.

``This is between Mastercard and the victim,'' Paysor said. ``I don't know what they will want to do.''
