Couple who raised $400K for homeless Johnny Bobbitt have 24 hours to turn over the money

A Burlington County couple must turn over by Friday afternoon what’s left of the donations from a $400,000 GoFundMe campaign that they started for homeless man Johnny Bobbitt, a judge has ruled.

Judge Paula T. Dow on Thursday ordered McClure, 28, and D’Amico, 35, to transfer the GoFundMe funds to an escrow account within 24 hours and hire a forensic accountant to review the financial records within 10 days. The money will be frozen and placed in an account with the Cozen O’Connor law firm that Bobbitt has retained. The funds cannot be used until the court determines how it will be managed.
