Proctorville library branch to close for renovations

The Proctorville branch of Briggs Lawrence County Public Library will be closed for renovations Saturday, May 18 through Monday, May 27. Patrons are invited to call or visit any of Briggs Library’s four other locations during that time. The crochet club meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 23 has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience to our patrons during the closure.

Briggs Library’s branches offer programs and activities for preschool children, elementary through high school age students and adults. Attending a program at the library is a great way to meet others with similar interests in your community. The public is invited to any Briggs Library sponsored event.

The schedule for May 16 to May 22 is:

• Thursday, May 16 at 2 p.m.: Book Club will talk about “Britt-Marie was Here” by Fredrick Backman at the Proctorville library.

• Thursday, May 16 at 2 p.m.: Bingo for Fun and Prizes (adults) at the South Point library.

• Saturday, May 18, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Play Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering at the Symmes Valley library.

• Monday, May 20 at 2 p.m.: Soda Can Wind Spinner Craft for adults at the South Point library.

• Monday, May 20 at 4 p.m.: Free ACT Prep Course at the South Point library.

• Monday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m.: Jar Lantern/Planter Craft for adults at the Symmes Valley library.

• Tuesday, May 21 at 2 p.m.: Crochet Club at the South Point library.

• Tuesday, May 21 at 4 p.m.: Free ACT Prep Course at the Chesapeake library.

• Wednesday, May 22 at 2 p.m.: Bingo for Fun and Prizes (adults) at the Chesapeake library.
