The Point is Made for Another Littleton Hotel
LITTLETON -- A Hilton-brand hotel may soon rise at The Point.
Developer Sam Park told town officials on Monday night that he’ll present plans for the second hotel on the site, complementing the Courtyard by Marriott.
The Home2 Suites by Hilton would cater to corporate clients and employees who are visiting the area for longer stays, he said.
Park thanked officials for a flexible town master plan that has allowed The Point to grow and bring in tenants to meet market demand.
He said future plans include smaller “enterpreneurial” space and more retail.
The Marriott, which opened in May 2016 with 115 rooms, is doing “phenomenally well,” Park said.
Guests enjoy having service, dining and movie options, he said.
He also cited an unusual syngery: The Paper Store is extremely successful based in part on guests buying Boston sports gear.
Several selectmen said they would like to see meeting rooms larger than those at the Marriott, to accommodate business and family functions.
No meeting space is planned now at the Hilton.
The hotel will need Planning Board approval.
