Ophthalmology Times® Extends Nomination Deadline for 2019 Resident Writers Award Program

CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2019--Ophthalmology Times ®, a leading multimedia resource providing news and information to ophthalmologists, is extending the nomination deadline for the 2019 Resident Writers Award Program to May 10, 2019.

“We are thrilled to see the nominations that have come through so far,” said Tom Ehardt, president of MultiMedia Healthcare, LLC. “We want to make sure all participants have the chance to present their knowledge related to anterior segment and earn the opportunity to showcase their case study at the 2019 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting.”

To submit a nomination, the resident should submit a case study of approximately 1,000 words on any topic related to anterior segment case studies. The top three finalists will receive a $1,000 travel stipend to attend the Resident Writers Award reception at the annual American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2019 meeting in San Francisco. During AAO, the finalists will present a summary of their case studies and the winner will be announced during a ceremony at the Allergan Eye Care booth. In addition, their entries will be published in Ophthalmology Times ® and will be available on ophthalmologytimes.com.
