SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) _ Suzanne Ressa scored 21 points and Jenny Baldwin added 16 as Santa Clara upset No. 10 Washington 68-61 in the championship game of the Diet Pepsi Shootout on Monday night.

Baldwin hit a jumper with 2:38 to tie the game at 59 and then made a 3- pointer to give Santa Clara a 62-59 lead with 2:20 left. Santa Clara (4-3) outscored Washington (7-2) 19-2 run in the final 5:15.

Ressa, the tournament’s most valuable player, hit a 3-pointer with 43 seconds left to clinch the win for the Broncos.

Laure Savasta led the Huskies with 17 points, Katia Foucade added 14 and Gena Pelz 13.

The Broncos were limited to just .316 field goal shooting in the first half and were behind 34-30 at the half.

Santa Clara came back at the start of the second half to take a 41-39 lead, but the Huskies went on a 16-4 run to take a 55-44 lead with 7:46 remaining.

Kent (3-2) beat Cal Poly-SLO (2-7) 72-59 in the consolation game.
