KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) _ Kareem Wilson completed only five passes, but three went for touchdowns Saturday as Ohio posted its second straight shutout, a 38-0 victory over Western Michigan.

Ohio (6-3, 5-1 Mid-American Conference) shut out Bowling Green last week by the same score. Western Michigan (0-9, 0-6) was done in by six turnovers that led to 24 points.

Wilson threw for TDs of 30, 37 and 54 yards and also rushed for a 2-yard score. He finished with 184 all-purpose yards, including 50 on the ground.

With a 3-0 lead in the second quarter, Wilson connected with B.J. Franklin on a 37-yard score with 5:20 left in the half.

On Western’s ensuing possession, Mark Stubbs picked off Tim Lester’s pass and returned it 23 yards to set up another scoring pass from Wilson to Franklin, this from 30 yards.

The two catches were Franklin’s only receptions of the game.

On the second play of the third quarter, Wilson connected with Riz Buckman for a 54-yard TD.

Later in the third, Andre Jackson forced a fumble that was recovered by Leigh Barbour. Five plays later, Wilson plunged in from 2 yards out for the score.

The defense, which held Western to 47 yards rushing, added the game’s final touchdown midway through the fourth quarter, when cornerback Tevell Jones intercepted John Holba’s pass and returned it 82 yards for a touchdown.
