Light snow covering roads in western CT
Light snow that moved into western Connecticut shortly after 4 a.m. is coating roads.
While only a coating to an inch is expected, it could cause some slippery conditions during the morning commute.
The snow is from a weak upper level disturbance that is passing through early this morning. Dry conditions return late thismorning and will continue into the early evening hours undermostly cloudy skies.
State Department of Transportation crews are already out treating the roads.
Shortly after 5 a.m., no roads are closed or accidents reported.
Radar shows the western advance of the snow across the Housatonic River and in the Naugatuck Valley.
