Man hospitalized after shooting on Cleveland’s east side

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 65-year-old man was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a shooting in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood, police say.

The man was brought by a private car to MetroHealth for a gunshot wound to the right thigh after what police describe as a felonious assault shooting around 12:50 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East 59th Street and Cedar Avenue.

Police did not say whether anyone was arrested in connection to the shooting.
