Person struck, killed by train in northern New Jersey
MONTCLAIR, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Transit says a person was struck and killed by a train in northern New Jersey.
But it’s not yet known why the victim was on the tracks in Montclair.
The accident occurred around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday. The agency says service was briefly suspended on the Montclair-Boonton line but later resumed with some delays.
The name of the person struck by the train has not been released. No other injuries were reported.
The accident remains under investigation.
