Kasim Hill, Maryland QB, out with ACL tear for second straight season
Maryland Terrapins starting quarterback Kasim Hill tore his left ACL in Saturday’s game against Indiana and is out for the year.
Interim coach Matt Canada confirmed the injury at a press conference Tuesday.
Hill tore his right ACL in Maryland’s third game last year, when he was a true freshman. He received a medical redshirt.
With Hill sidelined, Tyrrell Pigrome figures to be the Terrapins’ staring quarterback for the remainder of the year. Maryland has two games remaining, against ranked conference opponents Ohio State and Penn State, and needs to win one to become bowl-eligible.
