Steven Lynch Ross, 48, of Kankakee, passed away Thursday (Sept. 13, 2018) at his home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, until the 11 a.m. funeral services at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Kankakee. Minister Joshua Jones will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.
Steven was born Nov. 5, 1969, in Chicago, the son of Charles Ross Sr. and Karen Carr Ross. He had worked as a factory worker until he became disabled.
Surviving are his mother, Karen Ross, of Kankakee; his son, Jalen Robinson, of Chicago; his daughters, Samantha Ross, of Lansing, Jasmine Ross, of Kankakee, and Keona Lee, Nakita Smith and Unique Boyce, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; sisters, Tamiko (Jerry Cole) Ross, of Chicago, and Anita Ross and Latrice Ross, both of Kankakee; brothers, DeJuan (Celeste) Ross, of Kankakee, and Charles (Melissa) Ross Jr., of Virginia; his grandchild, Myielle Smith; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father; a son, Steven Ross Jr.; maternal grandparents, Luther and Anita Guy Carr; and paternal grandparents, Jasper and Sallie Ross.
