August 23, 2018

A pair of Central City residents have been charged with simple possession, drug paraphernalia possession and 18 counts of cruelty to animals.

At approximately 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Somerset County Bureau of Investigations executed a search warrant at the Lohr Street home of 25-year-old Hayden James Stackowitz and 22-year-old Alexis Rhianon Bulger.

Investigators found a small jar with 13 stamp bags of suspected heroin, four white pills believed to be tramadol and three jars with marijuana inside the home.

In addition, garbage was piled around the residence and dog feces were scattered throughout the home.

Several dogs and cats were in the residence, along with a rabbit. A preliminary hearing for Stackowitz is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Sept. 12, and a preliminary hearing for Bulger is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. the same day.

The hearings are before District Judge Bill Seger in Windber.

Each is free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
