Wrestling Brunswick wins Battle of the Bay
Brunswick School left the Battle of the Bay at Tabor Academy Saturday with another title.
The Bruins won the tournament for the second-straight season, outscoring 28 other wrestling teams at the competition. Behind numerous strong performances on the mat, Brunswick finished with a team score of 229.5 points. Northfield Mount-Hermon was the runner-up (193.5), followed by Belmont Hill School (192) and Phillips Exeter Academy (186).
The Bruins also finished ahead of rival Northfield Mount-Hermon at last year’s Battle of the Bay at Tabor Academy. On Saturday, Chris Perry won the 132-pound weight class for the Bruins. Luca Errico earned top honors in the 138-pound division for Brunswick.
Nadji Ngbokoli (152) was second, while Brunswick teammate Tim Saunders (195) also placed second. William MacGillivray (106), Harry Fett (160) and Dylan Reynolds (170) each produced third-place finishes in their respective weight classes for Brunswick.
Nick Bell (145), was fourth in his division, while Jackson Wolfram (113) and Clayton Ostrover (182) each took fifth. In the heavyweight division, Brunswick’s Howard Powell placed sixth.
