SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. (AP) — A Georgia agency has released a new guide to hunting seasons and regulations in the state.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources says the guide includes season dates, bag limits, information on hunting licenses and more.
The guide also updates recent changes to Georgia hunting regulations. For example, hunters can now legally use bait to attract deer when they’re hunting on private land.
Printed copies of the guide are available from license vendors as well as at Wildlife Resources Division offices statewide. The guide can also be downloaded online .
Changes to Georgia hunting regulations are approved by the state Board of Natural Resources based on recommendations from the agency’s wildlife biologists. Game and fishing laws are passed by the state legislature.
