Norfolk Catholic volleyball 1-8 out of gate; readies for match with Wayne on Tuesday

The Norfolk Catholic volleyball team is 1-8 on the year after they picked up their first win of the year last Thursday over Boone Central/Newman Grove in three sets in Stanton.

This year, the Lady Knights have beaten Boone while falling to Pierce twice, Hartington Cedar Catholic twice, Columbus Lakeview, Lutheran High Northeast, Wahoo High, and Stanton. Last year, Norfolk Catholic suffered through a 7-22 campaign and now have a new coach in Michaela Barry and a new system. However, their opponents through the first nine matches of the year are sporting an overall record of 84-34 for a win percentage of .712. The Lady Knights return to action tomorrow night when they host Class ‘C-1’ 8-5 Wayne at 7:30.
