Man accused of pointing handgun at driver during road rage incident in Hillyard

Police arrested a man suspected of pointing a gun at another person during a Saturday road rage incident..

Jose Corrales, 25, is accused of “pursuing” another car on Saturday on Market Street in Hillyard, according to a Spokane police news release. When the driver being followed confronted Corrales at his car, officers say he pointed a black handgun through the door.

The victim ran back to their vehicle and called 911, but Corrales already had fled, police said. Officers found him Sunday afternoon in the 2000 block of North Vista Road in Spokane Valley.

During a search of Corrales’ car and home, police located five black handguns and four hunting style rifles, two of which were semi-automatic. Police seized the weapons as evidence.
