Man arrested under suspicion of pointing handgun at driver during road rage incident in Hillyard; Spokane police seize multiple weapons
A man suspected of pointing a gun at another person during a road rage incident was arrested over the weekend.
Jose Corrales, 25, is accused of “pursuing” another car on Saturday on Market Street in Hillyard, according to a Spokane police news release. When the driver being followed confronted Corrales at his car, officers say he pointed a black handgun through the door.
The victim ran back to their vehicle and called 911, but Corrales already had fled, police said. He was taken into custody Sunday afternoon, after officers found him in the 2000 block of North Vista Road in Spokane Valley.
Upon searching his car and home, police located five black handguns and four hunting style rifles, two of which were semi-automatic. Police seized the weapons as evidence.
Corrales is facing a charge of second-degree assault.
