Golden Corral closes for good
Lake Havasu City’s Golden Corral restaurant closed its doors permanently on Wednesday. The buffet franchise announced earlier this week it was temporarily closing for remodels, but owner Lay told the News-Herald that was what employees had been told previously, before the decision to close was made public. Lay said in a written statement that the decision to close the restaurant was a difficult one. “We thank our managers and co-workers for their 10 years of dedicated service, as well as our guests for their loyal patronage,” he said. Lay said summer business was too slow to sustain the restaurant, and he hopes the location will soon become home to another restaurant brand.
