Castillo rises in digital ranks
HARLINGEN — Digital trends change almost every day, and keeping up with them can present a challenge.
“I’m up to the challenge,” said Chris Castillo, AIM Media’s new Assistant Sales Director of Digital AIM for the Rio Grande Valley, with a special emphasis on Cameron County.
Frank Escobedo, publisher of The Brownsville Herald and Valley Morning Star, said he was thrilled to announce her promotion.
“Chris is a proven sales professional with many years of print and digital media experience,” he said. “We are so pleased that Chris and her team will be stationed in our Harlingen office, where we and our advertising community will be able to take advantage of her considerable knowledge in the digital space.”
Castillo, 52, has served as advertising director at the Valley Morning Star since 2012, and she’s excited about her new position.
“I look forward to the new opportunity ahead,” Castillo said. “Digital media is a fast-growing market, and I feel that all my experience as advertising director will serve me well in this new role.”
