NCR: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
ATLANTA (AP) _ NCR Corp. (NCR) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $88 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 58 cents. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions and non-recurring costs, were 76 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 66 cents per share.
The maker of ATMs and other hardware and software to handle payments posted revenue of $1.71 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.58 billion.
NCR expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.75 to $2.85 per share.
NCR shares have increased 41% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $32.45, an increase of 17% in the last 12 months.
