Police Log: Caller’s ex-wife hired someone to kill them

Douglas County sheriff

6:50 a.m. — Two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler mix, are at large in the 200 block of Klope Lane, Riddle.

8:09 a.m. — Caller’s Husky/Labrador mix has been missing for five to seven days in the 2000 block of Toketee Rigdon, Diamond Lake.

8:17 p.m. — Caller gave a transient man water and light for his cigarette and thinks he will camp near the fire station or the old school in the 600 block of Scotts Valley Road, Yoncalla.

9:12 a.m. — Caller’s black Dachshund named “Sassy” has been missing since Aug. 19 in the 200 block of Upper Smith River Road, Drain.

9:29 a.m. — A Border Collie named “Bandit” ran off while the caller was housesitting in the 5700 block of Lookingglass Road, Roseburg.

2:17 p.m. — Caller’s ex-wife hired someone to kill caller in the 400 block of Elder Street, Drain.

3:27 p.m. — Caller found a tortoise and wanted to make sure an owner wasn’t looking for it at the intersection of Dairy Loop Road and Lookingglass Road, Roseburg.

FIRES

12:48 a.m. — Caller thinks there may be a house fire at the intersection of Landers Avenue and Melody Lane, Roseburg.

ARRESTS

Julie Michelle Morris, 33, of Roseburg, on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving while suspended and failing to appear on a criminal citation.
