ACTC power lineman class begins March 18

ASHLAND — Ashland Community and Technical College Workforce Solutions is offering an 11-week power lineman class beginning Monday, March 18. The course includes a Class A CDL certification.

Lineman classes are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through May 10 and are located at the Technology Drive Campus.

There are two options for the CDL training. For those who would like to take CDL training simultaneously with the lineman program, the driving portion will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 18-May 10.

The second option is CDL training from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, May 10-31.

The cost of the lineman program is $6,000, and financial assistance may be available. After class completion, starting pay ranges from $35,000-$60,000.
