Williams briefly left the game early in the third quarter but soon returned. He also missed the previous three games after needing surgery on his thumb.

Williams walked into the ambulance on his own and reportedly told a teammate he was OK.

A Redskins spokesperson confirmed that Williams left via ambulance but did not provide further information. Coach Jay Gruden did not mention Williams in his post-game injury update.

Defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis left the game with a calf injury and linebacker Cassanova McKinzy suffered a shoulder injury, Gruden said. Both will get evaluated further on Friday.

Gruden brought Ioannidis up when discussing the Redskins’ suddenly porous run defense, which allowed 146 rushing yards, including 121 to Ezekiel Elliott.

“I know Ioannidis going down hurt our rotation a little bit,” Gruden said. “We were down to four defensive linemen. And then I think Zeke’s one heck of a back. He ran through some tackles, made some great cuts.”
