PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Penn’s Shawn Trice scored a season-high 16 points and grabbed a career high 16 rebounds to lead the Quakers to a 85-55 win over Brown and the Quaker’s third straight Ivy League title and an NCAA tournament bid.

Penn, which led from the opening minutes of the game, opened a 74-49 lead with a Trice driving layup with 3:36 to play and never let up.

Penn (20-5, 12-0 Ivy League) used an 11-2 run beginning with a layup by Trice with 15:07 to play and ending about 4 1/2 minutes later with a free throw by Eric Moore to take a 61-38 lead.

Trice hit two jumpshots and a spinning slam dunk during the run.

Five Penn players scored in double figures, including Jerome Allen and Eric Moore, with 14 points each, and Matt Bowman, with 12.

Brown (13-12, 8-5 Ivy League) opened the second half with a 6-2 run to pull to 45-32 with 17:31 to play.

Brown was led by Joel Koplik with 12 points.

The Quakers finished the first half with a 10-0 run to make it 42-26 at halftime. Allen scored eight points during the run to finish with 11 in the half.

Brown made only 11-of-32 shots (34.4 percent) in the first half.

The win gave them their 31st Ivy League title and extended a winning streak over Ivy League opponents to 41 games.

Penn has not lost to an Ivy League opponent since a 71-66 loss to Columbia on March 6, 1992.
