Younger brother of Eden Hazard leaves Chelsea for Germany
LONDON (AP) — The younger brother of Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has left the Premier League club and joined German team Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The 21-year-old Thorgan Hazard didn’t play a competitive match for Chelsea after signing in 2012 — in the same summer as Eden joined from Lille.
Thorgan Hazard spent two full seasons on loan at Zulte Waregem, in his native Belgium, and has been on loan at Moenchengladbach this season.
German media are reporting that Hazard has moved for a fee of 8 million euros ($9 million).
Chelsea says Monday it has the right to exercise a future buy-back option on Hazard.
