Middle school football opens season
Ceredo-Kenova fell in their first home matchup to Kentucky for Russell 24-14. Dalton Fouch pushed across two touchdowns and Payton Jackson added a two-point conversion of his own. The Wonders will be back in action tomorrow on the road taking on Huntington East.
Buffalo cruised to a road win Thursday against Fairview 32-22. Logan Perry rushed for a pair of touchdowns and added another through the air. Cody Shy and Eli Bailey added a pair of two-point conversions. Talon Watts also caught a touchdown before half time.
The Bison will be on the road again tomorrow against in-county rival Vinson.
Wayne hosted Cabell county powerhouse huntington middle and fell in a 26-8 finish. Coach Jeff Wallace and his Pioneer’s look to turn the tables this week on the road against Milton.
Vinson crushed a 46-6 win Thursday over Huntington East with an offensive showdown. Kyndon Keese had a four touchdown night while Cam Bailey and Noah Chapman added one apiece. The Tigers will be hosting Buffalo tomorrow night at 6 p.m.
