A report of a protection order violation led to the arrest of a Norfolk woman and the discovery of a glass bong with methamphetamine inside of it.
Capt. Mike Bauer with the Norfolk Police Division said officers were called to the 200 block of East Phillip Avenue on Tuesday morning regarding the protection order violation.
The report was that an adult female had a protection order against Wendy L. Lockert, 42, and that both individuals were seen inside a car together. As officers were arriving, they saw the car leaving the area and followed it to Hy-Vee. Once there, officers had contact with Lockert and the protected party.
Lockert was placed under arrest for the protection order violation and for driving during revocation. During a search of Lockert’s vehicle, a glass bong with hoses coming out of it was found in the car’s trunk.
One of the hoses had methamphetamine inside of it, Bauer said.
Lockert was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance. She is being held at the Madison County Jail.
