SUSSEX, Wis. (AP) _ Lorena Ochoa, the Mexican star who left the University of Arizona after her sophomore season, shot a 1-under-par 71 Friday in her pro debut in a Futures Tour event.

Ochoa, who set an NCAA record with eight victories this season, was two strokes behind first-round leader Seol-An Jeon of South Korea in the Aurora Health Care Charity Golf Classic.

``The course was in great condition and the greens were perfect,'' Ochoa said. ``I was a little anxious at the beginning and my rhythm was off. Once I made the turn, I was more relaxed, played very consistent, and gave myself good birdie opportunities.''

Ochoa, from Guadalajara, also won the Mexican Open and has two top-10 finishes in three LPGA Tour starts this year. She tied for second last week in the NCAA tournament.
