School cancels testing after call about suspicious person
ST. MATTHEWS, Ky. (AP) — Police say a Kentucky high school has canceled testing after a suspicious person in the area was spotted, although no specific threat was made against the Catholic school.
News outlets report Trinity High School called 911 and placed itself on lockdown Thursday morning. The lockdown was later lifted after nothing suspicious was found in the building. Other schools nearby were also on lockdown.
St. Matthews Police Chief Barry Wilkerson says a juvenile rider on a TARC bus called Trinity High School to report a suspicious person traveling near the school wearing a full mask and what appeared to be full body armor beneath a coat.
Police believe the individual may have had on a mask and was going to work or going somewhere else that really wasn’t a threat.
