Winter weather advisory for southern CT
BRIDGEPORT — Some incoming winter weather Wednesday is expected to drop minimal snow, but could cause difficult travel conditions.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect for parts of southern Connecticut from 3 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The area is expected to see mixed precipitation throughout the advisory, with a total snow accumulation of up to one inch and a light layer of ice possible.
“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the weather service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.”
The advisory means there could be limited visibilities and that caution should be used by drivers hitting the road during the advisory period.
