Hart School raises over $1,000 for pediatric cancer research
STAMFORD — Hart Magnet School raised $1,820 for pediatric cancer research in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
On Sept. 21, the Hart School PTO hosted a fun day where students and staff wore a hat to school to raise money for WhipPediatricCancer.org. The organization donates all its proceeds directly to pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. The money raised will help further research in treating and ending childhood cancer.
Family and staff donated any amount of money and wrote their name on a piece of paper to be displayed in the front hall. Over the course of the month, $1,820 was raised.
