CHICAGO (AP) _ Chicago White Sox outfielder Kenny Lofton left Wednesday night’s game against the New York Mets in the second inning after aggravating a hamstring injury.
He apparently reinjured the hamstring while chasing Mike Piazza’s leadoff double to center. He stayed in for the rest of the inning, but was replaced by Aaron Rowand to start the third. Lofton is listed as day-to-day.
Lofton strained his right hamstring Sunday and sat out Monday’s game as a precaution. He played Tuesday night, going 0-for-3 with an RBI.
