What We Are Working on 8/9/208 (VIDEO)

August 9, 2018

Lowell Sun

It’s Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018. Here is some of what Sun staffers and other news providers are working on for lowellsun.com and Friday’s edition:

Reporter Rick Sobey, rsobey@lowellsun.com, is reporting from Lowell

about negotiations between the city and developer Sal Lupoli. Lupoli

wants a left-hand turn onto Thorndike Street from his

residential/commercial project next to the Gallagher Terminal. The

city, however, is concerned about safety, noting Thorndike Street is

already overburdened.

Reporter Chris Lisinski, clisinski@lowellsun.com, remains on the 3rd

District Campaign trail, reporting about those candidates who are

being forces to lend their campaigns their own money to keep them

afloat.

U.S Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who many view as running for president in

2020, is at Fitchburg State University Thursday evening for a town

meeting. Reporter Amanda Burke, aburke@sentinelandenterprise.com, is

covering and will have a short one-on-one interview with Warren.

In his second column of the week, Columnist Peter Lucas,

luke1825@aol.com, blasts Attorney General Maura Healey over her

politics.
