NEW YORK (AP) _ Jason Feeley, who scored 20 points, hit a 15-foot jumper with 50 seconds to play Wednesday night to break a 73-all tie and Long Island held on for a 79-78 victory over Wagner in the Northeast Conference.

David Masciale had 16 points for the Blackbirds (4-9, 1-3), who led 42-36 halftime.

Danny Siegle’s 20 points topped four double figure scorers for Wagner (5-7, 2-2). Frantz Pierre-Louis had 19 points and 22 rebounds.

Frank DeBlasi, who hit three of six 3-point attempts, had 15 points and Tony Rice 11 to go with 13 assists.

LIU led 48-39 after Robin Dickerson’s jumper with 18:27 to play, but Wagner went on a 25-11 run over the next 8 1/2 minutes.

Feeley’s three-point play closed a 14-7 LIU comeback, which gave the Blackbirds a 73-71 lead. Siegle’s jumper with 70 seconds to go produced the last tie and set the stage for Feely’s tie-breaking bucket.
