Authorities seek help in finding missing Lancaster girls

November 29, 2017

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are asking for help in locating two sisters who went missing from Lancaster on Monday.

The Los Angeles Times reports 11-year-old Relinne Harris and 12-year-old Derinne Harris were last seen leaving their western Lancaster residence on Monday evening. Lancaster is about 70 miles (112 kilometers) north of central Los Angeles.

Authorities with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department say the girls didn’t show up for school on Tuesday, and they don’t have cellphones. Detectives checked with friends of the girls who didn’t know where they were.

Authorities say the mother told deputies that the girls could be with their father Deshaun Montell Paul Carter, but authorities say it’s a guess. His last known address is in Oregon

Authorities ask anyone with information about the girls’ location to call police.
