Mercedes hires 2 engineering staff from Red Bull
BRACKLEY, England (AP) — Mercedes has strengthened its technical department by hiring two of the engineering staff from Formula One rival Red Bull.
Mark Ellis will join Mercedes as performance director and Giles Wood will take over as chief engineer in simulation and development. Both are new roles, starting in June.
Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe have recently taken over the leadership of Mercedes following the announcement that team principal Ross Brawn would be leaving.
